Not gonna lie when i saw the [EP] title i was expecting some emo ass shit to fill my living room. Let just say i was pleasantly surprised to find myself on the other end of something light and jingly, a wandering ambrosia of instrumental jams. Once again, i am not a huge instrumental fan but this is catchy on its own. If you’re looking for some ballsdeep technical breakdown of their instrumentation you are at the wrong fucking blog my friend.
It’s like if Look Mexico met Enemies, and had a mute twinkly baby.
Anyway this is pretty great, and these guys seem like when they find that vocalist they are going to take off in a huge way. Although they could just go the way of say Rooftops, they sound damn fine without one.

I am incredibly bummed to hear Lavis Blake have called it quits. Glue is one of my favorite EPs of the year and about as diverse as a 3 song EP can get. If Tiny Engines wasn’t trying to concentrate on LPs I would have put this out in a second. At least its finally available for free download on their Bandcamp. Seriously, do yourself a favor and download this now! The third track, “Fern Gully”…so damn good!
